The last television show or movie you loved? Chef, I’m a sucker for cooking shows.
One thing on your bucket list? Ohh, Experience a dinner at Heston Blumenthal restaurant. To me he is one of the most talented (on screen) chefs, his mind would be amazing.
Best advice you have ever received? Wake Up and make the day count.
What has been your most memorable moment? When Dan told me he loved me (He probably doesn’t remember haha).
What’s one thing you love about your job? Making people happy with our food, drinks and space.
What would your friends/family say is your most annoying habit? Two things, the way I say plants (I’m from South Australia) & always correcting grammar.
What is something people don’t know about you? I studied Psychology for two years as I wanted to be a Sport Psychologist. The mind intrigues me, and what makes people make the choices they do, fascinating.
What one thing would you like to see happen in the local area? Night Markets!
Best local activity & why? Fishing along the Maroochy River, we haven’t done it in a while but still some of my fondest memories. Early starts on the water, set the crab pots, fish all day and feast at night on our fresh catch.
Best thing about your town (apart from the people)? In Woombye, you can walk down the street and get everything you need, from food to clothes to a new house ... and then furnish it, and fix up the garden! Woombye has all these amazing family-owned shops all at our fingertips.
Is there a local business, community group, club or person you’d like to give a shout-out to? Steve & Ange at Farmers First, they supply us with Fruit & Veg and have from the beginning, and before we started Frankie’s, Dan and I would purchase all our fruit & veg from them at Yandina Markets. They are the best in the fruit and veg business, thanks legends, you’re the best.
Where did you grow up? A small town called Greenock, in the Barossa Valley. Our family started with cattle, then Dad changed it to vineyards, and helped create Barossa Vines. So yep, booze is in my blood.
Favourite local food and why? Fave Local Restaurant at the moment is Juan Fifty in Alex Headlands, I mean those cocktails! Need I say more ...
Happiest moment in life that wasn’t related to family matters? Our First Week of trade at Frankie’s. What a ride that was.
Apart from your family and business what are you passionate about? Making people happy with great food, drinks & customer service.
